I GOTTA GET UP!

Flowing water over my blistered feet feels really good.  My hands are raw, like I've been sailing non stop, after a very long time off.  I called my doctors office to report my malady.  "Oh, the Doxel will do that".  Yep! It did.  I am so grateful to be where I can let the Ocean soothe my ails. The Ocean has healing powers both physically, and mentally.  At least it does for me.

It's been tough between now and my last report, because I lost an even tougher cancer sister this past week.  She ran more marathons than me, and faster than me.  Her never give up attitude has me humbled. Her last words before she left us were: "George,!  I gotta get up."

I gotta get up.  I'm down, and I gotta get up........I was sitting in the chair ready to take chemo on, when they actually refused to give it to me because my symptoms were too severe, and my body needs time to heal.  So now,  I'm home sitting in my comfy office chair waiting for the next move.

And the next move is tomorrow morning.  My husband after a 1970's motocross accident is finally getting his knee repaired.  He will get an entire new knee, special for him, which will result in a whole new gait.  A gait without a heavy foot, limp, or pain.  We are very excited, but equally as nervous.  So, really, I'm glad I didn't put more poison in my body, saving my energy to be strong for him ,when he is home recovering.  We have in home help reserved, if we need it, and I plan to take advantage of that. So, don't worry.  I will keep you informed of his progress, as well.

I gotta get up because my entire family is coming together at my house for a family reunion and to be helpful hands.  We are really looking forward to being all together soon.

Also, my only GRAND daughter is turning sweet 16 this coming Sunday which is also a big deal.
